Dr. Heather O'Donnell

Academic Position: 

Clinical Assistant Professor, UBC Department of Ophthalmology, UBC Faculty of Medicine

Dr. O’Donnell opened her practice in Vancouver in 2016 and has been proudly serving patients in the lower mainland since. She is passionate about ophthalmology and patient care. 

 

She grew up in Saskatchewan but headed west for her undergraduate studies at the University of Victoria. After completing her degree in Kinesiology she was accepted to UBC medical school. Dr. O’Donnell completed surgical residency at UBC.  She is incredibly proud to have joined Providence Health Care’s ophthalmology team and operates at Mount St. Joseph’s, an exceptional public cataract surgical centre. Education is an ongoing focus of her non-clinical work, she is involved in medical student and resident clinical and surgical teaching. 

Dr. Stephanie Wise

Academic Position: 

Clinical Instructor, UBC Department of Ophthalmology, UBC Faculty of Medicine

Dr. Wise completed a honours bachelor of science degree at Queen’s University in Kington, Ontario, before returning to Vancouver to attend medical school at the University of British Columbia (UBC). After finishing her medical degree, Dr. Wise went on to complete her ophthalmology residency at UBC.

Dr. Wise is a clinical instructor with the University of British Columbia’s Ophthalmology Department.

 

She sits  on the UBC Ophthalmology Residency Training Committee and serves on the Providence Health Medical Advisory Committee for Excellence with a focus on Quality Improvement within the Department of Ophthalmology.
