Monofocal IOL

Monofocal Intraocular Lenses (IOL's) are soft, foldable lenses made of hydrophobic acrylic material that are used to treat nearsightedness (myopia) farsightedness (hyperopia).

Patients can choose this and have both eyes corrected for distance. Patients who get this lens will likely still require glasses for reading after surgery and may also need intermediate and distance glasses. Monofocal lenses are predictable and are a good option for most patients.
