Covid-19 Protocols
At Vancouver Ophthalmology, the clinic of Dr. Heather O'Donnell and Dr. Stephanie Wise, we’re working to protect and care for our community through the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Here are the steps we are taking:
Due to COVID-19 and per CDC guidelines, we are seeing patients on a modified schedule. Patients are required to wear a mask or face covering while in the clinic. You will be provided with a new mask on arrival. Upon arrival to the clinic, you will be asked if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms; fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose or congestion, loss of sense of smell/appetite, headache, muscle ache or fatigue within the last 14 days.
All visitors will be asked to wait outside of the clinic, unless they are in need for the appointment (translator, care-giver.) We ask that all patients not to come early to their appointment as we are limiting the amount of people in our clinic. We thank you for your cooperation during this unprecedented time.
As the situation progresses, we will continue to do everything we can to be here for our patient’s needs during this uncertain time. We have implemented mandatory guidelines recommended by CDC and the Ministry of Health within our clinic to keep patients and staff safe. We have enforced physical distancing within our waiting room. We have placed protective breath shields at the reception. All technicians and doctors will wear a face mask during contact with patients and sanitize hands and points of contact between patients. We regularly sanitize all equipment, door handles and seating.
The health and safety of our staff and patients are our number one priority. We want to ensure all patients feel safe and supported while visiting our clinic.
Sincerely,
Dr. Heather O'Donnell & Dr. Stephanie Wise
